It has found drivers for everything, automatically. Anyway, compare this installation taking about an hour and a half in total with the installation of an Apple Magic Mouse on my iMac – 5 mins to download and install the Apple Mouse Utility update, 5 mins to get the mouse out of it’s box, immediate connection to the iMac – 10 mins and everything was configured and working! There was a problem loading the comments at the moment. It has Windows 7. Oh and another thing I noticed my monitor will interrupt the signal between the mouse and the receiver if the monitor is in between the two in close proximity. This thread is locked. It has awesome battery life.

This is a good mouse. I set the search button to do “show desktop” went to the other end of the office where I could hardly see my screen and the “show desktop” button still worked but with a delay speed of sound I guess.

Bought this as a replacement for an old Logitech wireless mouse that died on me. I’m not using Setpoint myself, the mouse works just fine. It appears that it clicked together and won’t come back apart.

It scrolls in small jumps like that instead of smoothly zooming in and out. Does anyone know or have had these same problems.

It is powered by two AA batteries that I can find in any corner shop should I run out of power, but the chances of this happening are miniscule because the batteries last over a year of daily use and the driver can logitecu me to the day, hour or minute how much power is left, enabling me to be near a fresh set of batteries when that moment arrives.

I googled around for smooth scrolling for Chrome and found an option for it. Tending as humans do to be wary of change, and fond of my nice, comfortable XP-based world, I thought this might be a Bad Thing, but it turns out to be quite the opposite.

One other note — I do have a “microgear” switch under the mouse that makes it “click” when I scroll, but that doesn’t affect my problem. In any case, upgrade your drivers regularly, as Logitech Support often suggests this as the solution for scroll related issues: For most applications, disabling “Smooth Scrolling” in the setpoint config is the solution.


So sensitivity is the same, just the animation is nicer. Amazon Business Service for business customers. From time to time I stumble upon a program where the extreme sensitivity is back and even moving the mouse triggers the scroll wheel.

This wont be a problem for most but I overcame this by using an USB extension lead so I can place the receiver accordingly. Being able to set key strokes into buttons makes life so much easier.

I’m using win7 64bit – I didn’t have to even bother with the software but had a go to see what it was like and it may be useful for those on XP.

Giving you info such as the battery life logihech 1 year and num lock setting plus an array of easily customisable settings. There was a problem loading the comments at the moment. Of course, it would be too good to be true if this had all happened without a hitch.
